Okonomiyaki is pancakes made with flour, cabbage and other ingredient such as seafood or meat. To make the dough smoother and not hard, yamaimo (a type of Japanese yam) will be added. All these ingredients are mixed and cooked on an iron skillet, and katsuobushi topping, Aonori was added. Sauce and mayonnaise has also added to make the taste even better! Like Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki can also be found throughout Japan, but there is no harm in trying Okonomiyaki in Osaka, because Osaka is the place of origin of this food.

Tonpeiyaki is the third food that is often searched in Osaka after Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki. However, it should be noted for those who do not consume pork, because Tonpeiyaki itself is an omlete which contains pork with roasted cabbage, and Tonpeiyaki does not use flour. For appetizer, don't forget to add sauce and aonori, okay?
